Recruitment scams
We are aware of an increase in fraudulent activity involving individuals or organisations falsely claiming to represent Hays. These scams often involve requests for payment in exchange for job opportunities or services.
We want to ensure you are informed and confident in recognising when an approach from Hays is legitimate.
What are recruitment scams?
Recruitment scams typically trick individuals into handing over money or personal information by offering a “guaranteed” job, high-paying opportunity, or fast income with minimal effort.
These scams may appear convincing and often use the names of reputable recruitment firms like Hays to gain trust.
Please be assured:
- Hays will never ask candidates to pay money to secure a job opportunity.
- Hays representatives will never request payment for training, equipment, or job placement.
Warning signs: how to spot a scam
